If Emily Jones has one passion, it’s the Thanksgiving Day Parade. She grew up loving it. She’s devoted her career to maintaining it. And she believes with all her heart that it’s the most important event of the year. A close second—the proposal of marriage she’s expecting from her boyfriend, Brian. Then Emily meets Henry Williams, a tailored suit who’s been hired by the city to evaluate the parade’s revenue potential. No amount of Emily’s civic pride or enthusiasm for tradition can change Henry’s deflating position: the city can’t afford it. Well, what else can Emily expect from a man who watched the parade from his family’s penthouse? Even as a child, he looked down on the city.
