Jill Maddox (Emmy and Golden Globe winner Jane Seymour, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman) is a thirty-eight-year-old mother awaiting a miracle: a donor for the heart transplant she so desperately needs. When good news arrives and the procedure is a success, Jill and her devoted daughter, Amanda (Maggie Lawson, Nancy Drew), a college freshman at the New England Conservatory of Music, both gain a new perspective on the blessing of being alive. But neither could have foreseen the transformation of Jill’s personality. At first, simply quirky and uncharacteristic—a sudden love of beer and junk food, a penchant for cursing and driving recklessly, and an odd fascination with motorcycles—the behavioral changes soon grow into something more unfathomable: nightmares of death and of a boy with a message. Eventually, Jill begins experiencing troubling memories of the past—but a past that belong to someone else.
