At the height of her career, Hannah, an investigative journalist, begins to question her decision to leave the love of her life, Ben, ten years ago. As a Christmas wish, Santa Claus responds to her "what ifs?" and transports Hannah to an alternate reality in which she and Ben started a family. Hannah - who literally becomes a mother overnight - navigates the comical day-to-day challenges of life in the suburbs with Ben and their daughters.
